    A number of neighbors in the Roost neighborhood join me to report a noise issue emanating from the Sawan restaurant. We have been concerned about this nuisance since we all moved here in 2017. The noise is coming from the exhaust fan on the roof of the building. The restaurant was sold recently to a new owner. Since then, the volume of the noise has increased, and it runs from about 11:00 am until around 9:00 pm, seven day per week, which is a significant increase in the number of hours per day that the fan runs compared to prior to the change in ownership. Some of the home owners here report that it has become so loud that they find it very difficult to enjoy being in their own backyards. We are also concerned that this nuisance will negatively impact the value of our homes. We are all familiar with the city noise ordinance, and we believe that the noise coming from the fan exceeds the allowable decibel level as set out in city and state law. We ask that the code compliance officer contact us so decibel level readings can be taken from our properties.

    Parade Grounds Park is regularly used as an off-leash dog playground. There needs to be some education or enforcement of leash law for the park. We have had multiple incidences of dogs charging and jumping on family members. Particularly dangerous due to so many children around this park. There are multiple entrances to the park, which could use signage as well.
