The amount of salt that was dropped in the last day around gore park is horrendous. It’s layered a half an inch thick on the gore street sidewalk, including the entrances and the walkways in the park. It’s so painful for my dog’s paws that we can’t even walk in that direction, enjoy the park or off leash hours. I understand the importance of putting down salt to make sure the walkways are clear, but please have discretion when dumping it down and/or switch to dog friendly salt.

Green Street, Franklin Street and Bay Street all have signs indicating that street cleaning is to be done on the second Friday of each month, but clearly that didn't happen, and the consequence is that there are large accumulations of leaves the whole lengths of those roadways. On Ware Street signs show that cleaning should have been done on the second Tuesday, but that wasn't done there, either. Probably there are many more such scenarios. When we have the first snow emergency, huge amounts of leaves will be gathered with plowing.

Regarding the previous report of a bike lane obstruction at the intersection of Willard and Brattle:

The sand in the lane was put down by the CFD after an accident on May 20 around 6:30 pm. What is the Traffic department's protocol for following up after an accident?

City -please clean up public debris swept onto private property by wave run up and overtopping from repeated street flooding due to catch basin drains clogged by leaf debris from public shade trees in sidewalks. On Walden between Sherman and Garden there are no privately owned trees except 1 on even side(278?), only public shade trees in sidewal, no trees in backyards. City please do leaf cleanup from sidewalk in fal, from public shade trees. Do not leave on sidewalk as enter and clog catchbasin grates as per described flooding to curb. cycle, in any case clean up from our driveway and alley, before first snow storm as debris will cause problems for our snow removal contractor. Also reimburse me for one hour of cleanup from sidewalk as city unresponsive to my requests. However drubbing still needs cleanup. r..

A car was not moved for street cleaning -- last of the year -- and there's a mess of leaves and pods in the street from the tree. I think as part of the no-tow pilot there was a promise to follow up with some manual pickup at trouble spots? The large pile was under the car that did not move and it's last sweep until spring. Thanks.

Hi all, I don’t know who goes around and unclogs the drain grates (CFD, the Works?) and that’s great that they do. But all along Hampshire, and Cambridge Street they unclogged the ones in the bike lanes and left HUGE piles of leaves that are hard to see at night and should they freeze becomes dangerous if not perilous for cyclists. Also leaving a pile next to the drain just means it will clog again. Can this get addressed ASAP? I would suggest that standard protocol would include the removal of the leaf and debris mass, it’ll save time later and a few rider’s teeth as well.

Large spill of road salt across Fresh Pond Parkway at Huron Ave makes crossing by bicycle quite treacherous. It`s all the way across the junction and up to six inches deep, so it`s slippery even at very low speeds. Please clean up.

If possible, we could use some off cycle street cleaning on Worcester Street. With all the various construction projects, there's debris and detritus the length of the street. Thanks either way.
