The owner or person in control of any parcel of land, including a vacant piece of property, shall at all times maintain said parcel of land free from overgrowth. Any property with 12 inches or more shall be considered overgrowth. The owner or person in control of any parcel of land or vacant lot shall cut and or remove said overgrowth. Failure to comply shall result in a noncriminal fine of $50 enforced by the Health Department.
FYI....They would send one if we had one. Hopefully people are reading this and realizing that we have a major glitch in the current political matrix. If we had a Code Enforcement Officer there would be hardly any reason to post issues or call about issues. INSTEAD the current Mayor is making the residents police their own neighborhoods on issues like this. Think about that for a second. Think about the amount of taxes you / we pay and they keep going up and up without basic positions filled that benefit the Chicopee tax payer including quality of life, quality of neighborhood and most of all..... Your Property value.
This is a good reason to call your ward councilor, Councilor Courchesne can't be our 1 and only advocate for the solution to the blight of our city.
