On numerous occassions I have had to deal with aggressive/ unsafe/ inconsiderate drivers on 2nd between Cecil B and Girard. For some reason cars speed by me nearly missing me (even though they have plenty of room) only to stop at a red light. I am also a licensed driver and I know that I'd never drive the way some of these people do. I feel very unsafe and there are no safe alternate routes nearby.

I appreciate your concern. Even for car owners, high speed and aggressive drivers are a major problem on 2nd between Girard & Lehigh at all hours. I have worked on 2nd for sometime now and named the street, "The 2nd Street Highway." The traffic lights allow for the high speed. They need to be synchronized to require slowing down. There have been lots of car accidents already and community resident concerns have been ignored for a long time.

I'm a cyclist as well.
You might want to pass this around to the cycling community and see if others feel like this is an unsafe area.
In New Haven we have found that this creates good cause for police enforcement at areas where there are high reports of unsafe driving on SeeClickFix.
