It really needs to be removed. Road kill just sits and rots, people use with strollers, park and there have been a lot more accidents thus more debris. Noticed a lot of undesirables riding by looking into yards and more bottles of water, pop and general litter the non sport bikers drop that just sit or blow onto private property that only those homeowners have to out and clean it up because we have to look at it.
Finally the city is plowing in both directions but, they plow 2 lanes of Saginaw into the bike lane after it's shoveled, they plow the two lanes again and all the accumulated snow from the bike lane onto the sidewalk and its concrete in twenty minutes. People who wanted that bike lane didn't think any of these problems and don't help with them either. My last issue is by narrowing Saginaw, you have to wait twice as long to cross, idle cars make for more air pollution and the cars with the loud radios noise pollution..again a problem not thought thoroughly through before making the bike lane.
