I think everyone has been waiting on the Ashby/I80 interchange reconstruction project before doing any improvements to the roadway, but that project has been in the planning process for over ten years with no work done yet. The measure B1 sales tax which failed on the 2012 ballot would have funded the project, but a similar measure is going to be back on the November ballot this year. Hopefully this time it will pass so improvements on the Emeryville/Berkeley border here won't be delayed for another decade.

Yes, I am necro-ing this listing, for I am a mad scientist. Muahahahaha! It's alive! IT'S ALIVE! Seriously, this issue hasn't been addressed, or at least addressed with any cohesiveness and/or regularity. There's still graffiti everywhere, the signs are still damaged (some beyond recognition), and there's a shopping cart at Ashby that has been there for two years now. Seriously? Fix it, Emeryville! Make our city shine!
