We really need a side walk installed. there is no sidewalk on our side of the street and we live at the corner of a VERY busy 4 way intersection.

When reviewing requests for sidewalk repairs / replacement multiple factors are taken into consideration such as amount of use, public safety, location and material. Every request is logged and the Department performs a field review to determine risk to public safety. If the situation possess a risk to the public it is immediately repaired. All other requests are maintained in the log until additional information or funding is secured.
In 2014 the Town supplemented their forces with an outside contractor and installed over 7,570 square feet of concrete sidewalk [Main St (3,152) Summer St (245.5) Franklin (1,972) Colonial Park School (2,201.5)] and over 22,880 square feet of asphalt sidewalk [(Congress, Marble, Pleasant, Elm, North Street) in addition to over 450 feet of berm]
This year’s construction season has ended but this issue will remain on the list for potential repair or replacement in the future.
