Description
Unfortunately, overgrowth in our city is NOT limited to Maplewood Square. It sure is a great place to start!
I know I have recommended this idea in the past and it wasn’t taken seriously, but, this would be a fantastic community service project for students throughout the Malden Public School system! If several students as a team were assigned a street to take care of, our kids would learn how to be responsible for their environment, they would be kept busy and we’d have a low cost solution to a real problem.
Overgrowth such as we have here throughout the city only adds to the rodent issue as that gives them some shelter from the elements and a place to hide. We should not make it so attractive for them. Removal and maintenance of overgrowth will help in so many ways.
There is still plenty of good weather ahead! Let’s take advantage of it! Let’s get going! 🌱🌱🌱🌱
