I reported this to Caltrans, twice. Here is the maintenance ticket number: Caltrans. Customer Service Request ticket 853192 was forwarded to maintenance. I would suggest that everyone that sees this contact the Walnut Creek office of Caltrans and submit a request, it doesn't appear our feckless Council is going to do anything about it. The other day one of the vagrants living there was observed dumping a bucket down the concrete embankment. Anyone care to make a guess as to what might have been it it? This must be considered a health risk to the vagrants and our community. Enough! TBA
Thank you for contacting the City of Antioch.

The day BAART/Methadone clinic opened its doors, Antioch became a heaven for vagrants. There are many empty/boarded up buildings.
It is a shame to see so many filthy areas in town and the landscape has a lot to be desired. Therefore don't expect to see any new businesses to come to Antioch. Shame on our city council members!
This will never get cleaned up using the city's current strategy. The homeless get rousted and then return. The only solution is to do what SF does. Install barriers and objects that make it difficult or impossible for the homeless to camp/sleep there. Maybe also install bright lights or noise from speakers that help repel them. Again, SF has taken these measures, and they work.
CITY of ANTIOCH OR CAL TRANS!!! Make this go away! This tent was placed there appx 2 days after the old one removed! How many weeks ago???? Why does it take so long to remove this eyesore and health issue? Disgusting!!!
Im afraid the same thing is going to happen. This is Caltrans property. I turned this one in the same time I turned in the vagrants on 160 near Brannen Island. That one was abated. Caltrans needs to abate this site and place large rocks and fencing like the A Street exit they did. Stop them once and for all. Sorry folks, fresh out of sympathy. TBA
It's gone folks. We just need to keep a watchful eye on this spot because if they are true to form they'll be back. Should have put large chunks of concrete or rocks in the spot. TBA
