Description

Pathway from Runnymede to AATA stop on Pauline has been crumbling for years. It’s uneven and unsafe. This is the only path on Pauline for kids to use to get from the condos and apartments on Pauline to Dicken school.

This sidewalk pathway has not been maintained for over 20 years. I live in the Suffolk- Norfolk neighborhood and use it daily. It is frequented by bus commuters and children walking to Dicken School. It is not maintained in the winter and is extremely icy. The surface is crumbling and dangerous for bicycles.

The asphalt path connecting Pauline to Runnymede is not a publicly-owned path, rather is located on private property owned by the adjacent condominiums. The City is exploring the viability of obtaining an easement and taking over maintenance responsibilities for this path, but in the short term the City cannot perform any repairs on path since it is on private property.
