Thanks for taking the time to report your issue. The resident was granted permission to park on the street until November 15th. We also do not issue summons[s] to parked vehicles for inspection violations.
We have successfully addressed your issue and closed your request. If at any point you have additional concerns, we ask that you please report a new issue.

The issue is why is a non-resident allowed to use our street for long term parking-the car is not moved, day or night for 4+ days while a non-resident leaves the state?
How is this allowed?
My issue was not addressed. Nobody knows where this person is and the owner is not a resident of the town they just use the street for occasional long term parking.

On the overnight parking applications it states: “This submission does not grant to right to park after 6:00 A.M. - No Exceptions. “
This vehicle is often parked on our streets for days on end without being moved. This is not overnight parking, it is long term parking and I am wondering why this is continued to be allowed.
Also this is being ignored as well:
In accordance with the provisions of § 185-7, no person shall park a vehicle on any public street of the Borough of Madison for more than four hours, Monday through Friday, except holidays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. prevailing time unless posted otherwise.
It’s been over three DAYS-the owner parks their car and leaves town on a regular basis.
