  We all agree that the slow street has been wildly successful. It has slowed down traffic and created opportunities to walk and bike and recreate. It has slowed traffic on all the surrounding areas as well. It should be made permanent.

  As a parent of 2 young children on 61st Street, Colby Slow Street has been amazing for the neighborhood. Kids can and do play in the street after school and on the weekends. Cyclists, rollerskaters, & skateboarders use it for commuting and exercise. I use Colby to bike commute to downtown Oakland. Streets are for more than just cars. I greatly appreciate that we have one safe street in our neighborhood that prioritizes people. It would be terrific to make the Slow Street permanent

  I am a resident, walker, runner, bicyclist, and car driver at 61st and Colby and have truly appreciated the safe street. I hope it can stay.
