If someone gets hurt walking on that sidewalk, the town will be responsible!!!!!

Acknowledged means what? Is something going to be done?

I would like to know WHEN this will be fixed! not just acnowledged???

First of all this is still a free country ( last time I checked) and I have a right to ask questions on this forum. I have been paying property taxes over $4,000.00 per year for over 39 years, along with excise taxes and even the extra tax for SNOW plowing which I did not vote for . therefore I feel I deserve a better answer than Acnowledged. as far as that is conerned it is NOT an answer!
I am not happy with your response to me maybe I will let the town manger know about how you answer people on this forum!!!
I have been requesing new sidewalks on Bristow St for over 30 years as they were deployarable then and worse now!!!!!!!!!!!!
Maye its time for a new DPW Director that can do the job!

Deb....my name is Michael Donovan and I am the IT Director for Saugus. My number and email are listed on the website. Feel free to contact me or the town manager whenever you please. Your ticket was acknowledged with a quick response stating that the info that you provided was given to the DPW director. You where not happy with the response and decided to leave negative comments elswhere on this site with a ticket that didn't even involve you. This is not the Lynn Item or some other public forum where you can openly trash town employees....I WILL NOT STAND FOR IT. Contrary to popular opinion our employees are hard working and do the best they can with the resources at hand. This is a place to conduct business. If your not going to conduct yourself professionally on this website then your ticket will be closed and you can certainly use other methods to get your sidewalk repaired.

I visited this site last evening and the entire sidewalk is buckled and should be replaced. The sidewalk on the other side of Sussex Street is also buckled. These are far worse than the sidewalk that the town replaced in front of the house on Winter St. where the lots are now being developed. Also, the Bristow St sidewalks are asphalt whereas the one that was done in front of the house on Winter St is concrete.

So far the DPW has done an outstanding job repairing sidewalks and pot holes all around town in a timely manner as they are reported. I feel all safety hazards need to be addressed.. They are all equally important and we should commend the DPW each time they complete an issue and not compare issues. This is unfair to the Town and the DPW. This forum is an outstanding program for the people of Saugus to make the Town aware of issues.
