A lot of the benches were broken. Someone has taken the broken wooden panels will someone be replacing them? They could also use a paint job and the memorial booci court is in bad shape

A similar question was asked of the Mayor via Facebook. This was his response.
Those pipes are being used to replace a water line, and that project should be wrapped up by the fall. As for the broken benches, they're definitely a priority of mine; I regularly discuss such matters with DPW superintendent Bill Fuqua. I can't say for sure, but I believe we will be using next year's community development block grant funding to take care of a number of issues, including the benches. It is also my understanding that we'll be making some other fixes before then; it's really just a matter of having the funding. I agree with you -- Pulaski Park is a wonderful park, and it deserves the city's care and attention. Renovating our parks has been a major priority of my administration, because I know out important parks are to a community's overall sense of civic pride and engagement.
