Thank you for contacting the City of Antioch. We have referred your issue to the Parking Enforcement - Abandoned Autos Unit (AAU) of the Police Department (PD). Please allow up to 30 – 60 days for the matter to be resolved.
Through the AAU, the City of Antioch is committed to keeping our city streets clean. Antioch Municipal Code4-5.1206 requires that all vehicles parked on the street need to be operable, registered and moved every 72 hours. If a vehicle is not operable, but registered, it must be placed out of public view and/or in an enclosed structure. For further information on abandoned vehicles, please visit AAU’s website: https://www.antiochca.gov/police/abandoned-autos-unit/.
The AAU is also responsible for investigation any complaints regarding recreational vehicles/RV’s, boat and/or trailers. City of Antioch Municipal Code4-5.1223.1 states that no person shall park any recreational vehicle, as defined, on any street in any residential district except when such recreational vehicle is being actively loaded, unloaded, cleaned or repaired, and then for a period not to exceed 24 hours. For more information, please visit AAU’s website: https://www.antiochca.gov/police/abandoned-autos-unit/.
If follow up communication is desired on your complaint, please contact the AAU hotline directly at 925-779-6981. Please do not contact the Public Works Department (PWD) as staff at PWD are unable to provide any status updates.
For time sensitive issues affecting the general public please contact the Police Department at 925-778-2441. If there is an emergency, please call 911.
