Deskripsyon

It was reported that street flooding occurred at this location because of heavy rainfall during the last week. The storm drains would probably handle most of the water runoff if they weren't clogged with debris left in the street thus preventing the water to drain without causing catastrophic flooding. If folks would simply stop the mindless and careless litter in the streets this horrible mess could quite possibly have been less severe.

PWD worker stated that the CITY of PHILA contracted a group to change pipes on Pike St and Chelten Ave. He said the blockage is from ill fitted pipes not litter. This is a city problem and the 8 feet to 12 feet of sewage water during heavy rain is ridiculous. PWD told the blocks to call Channel 6, 29 investigative units. The worker stated that gas not litter/water was causing the floods. The same floods that killed a young lady in her car on Haines Street. Only a fool would stay for the day the floods take out the entire community. What will the city do then, say sorry?
