Description
When will road construction on the traffic circle at Tamar and Old Montgomery finally begin? Trees were cut down and utilities relocated long ago but there is no evidence of roadwork It would be good to get it done while school is out Last summer we were told the circle would take 12 weeks An update would be appreciated by all of us in Jeffers Hill Thanks

The Howard County Department of Public Works – Bureau of Highways Capital Project T7106 is still scheduled to begin roadway construction this summer season. The most current field work is Comcast underground utility relocation. There was a bit of a delay in BGE’s underground work that pushed back Comcast’s schedule, while all underground lines must be relocated before the roadway construction can begin. The roadway construction is anticipated to be completed over a duration of 8 -10 weeks, weather pending. Prior to the beginning of the roadway construction, you will also see electronic variable message boards approaching the intersection notifying residents and travelers of upcoming roadwork and to expect possible delays in travel (there are no closures/detours as part of this project). A general project information number will be included in the electronic flashing message, but for more specific information, please feel free to call our office at (410) 313-2430.
We thank you for your continued patience,
