This has been such an issue and seems to have been strategically designed to simply disallow any and all safe access to Centennial Park from the Beaverbrook neighborhood, going on at least a year now. I previously reported that across the street, at the corner on Centennial and Columbia, there is no wheelchair access ramp and the corner with the pedestrian button frequently is overgrown with weeds several feet high, despite clearly being meant as a safe crossing area judging by the existence of that button and the crosswalk. I was told that the wheelchair curb access was planned but I see no sign of them doing anything except just blocking pedestrian access for no reason.
