Thanks for reporting this issue to Gilbert 311! There was recent retiming completed to better coordinate the flow of vehicle traffic on major arterials this will at times cause a small delay for people using our trails. This was done due to the increase in traffic volumes on our roadways. In order to safely cross the the street trail users need to use the signal or HAWK (hybrid beacon) crossings provided. If people are just not wanting to wait and cross in an unsafe unprotected manner it is an enforcement/safety issue. I will pass this onto our studies group to look further into this issue to see if changes in operation are warranted/needed. Thanks so much for reporting it we appreciate it!
