Description

Another new pothole! Seems like once 1 gets filled, another opens in the left lane on the bridge over the railroad tracks. How about a quick weekend-long replacement?

Instead of emailing me every week to tell me how long my issue has been open, why don't you email DPW to fix the potholes?

Anonymous, McGrath Hwy falls under the Department of Conservation and Recreation, which is a state office meaning the DPW does not make these repairs, that is the reason we cannot ask them as you have requested. However the City of Somerville has informed them of the potholes and they have made numerous repairs around McGrath. If there any new potholes opening up please let us know and we will continue to work with the state.

Typical Somerville. "Not our problem". For 11+ years I've driven the same stretch of McGrath to get to work. There is never a day when there isn't a pothole somewhere around the Washington St/Somerville Ave overpasses. I'm sure DCR wouldn't object if Somerville fixed them. And I'm sure plenty of Somerville residents (like me!!) would appreciate it if DCR did so. Figure it out!! And don't close my post until you do! Passing the buck isn't the same as fixing the problem.

The City will gladly fill any pothole as long as we have a valid address/location and it is within city boundaries. We have notified MassDOT of these issues and they did go out and fill numerous potholes. If you have any new potholes to report, please create a new request. Thank you.
