Why doesn't the city routinely cover the know spots that have turned up many previous reports. If we don't take the time to report it, NOTHING HAPPENS! Thanks for your attention to this.

Just FYI- There is OPW crew that picks up mattresses only than will close the ticket leaving the rest of the stuff. So now I do two tickets: One for mattresses and one for the rest of the dumped stuff. So dumb but it works!

Yes, thanks, I do that too with illegal dumpings that include a mattress. My point here to OPW is that these were 2 different dumpings, one came after the first one was reported on the other side of the street. OPW just doesn't/never go across the street to pick up this second mound of trash and instead waits until someone reports this new mound and comes back out again for it a week later. This is not only a supreme waste of gas, but it encourages more dumping in between pickup trips to the same street. It is also extremely discouraging to me and my neighbors who have to crawl over these deadly mounds of who-knows-what everyday just to get to the bus stop or a car in front of their house. And this happens every week COME ON OPW: PLS PICK UP ALL THE TRASH.DUMPINGS YOU SEE ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET NOT JUST THOSE THAT WE REPORT TO YOU. Thank you.

I totally agree its lame. Now they are only picking up items that are reported. If a new item appears just feet away the workers ignore it.
