Over this past year I have seen a large increase in the number of hypodermic needles in the park while walking my dog. All of the needles appear to be off the same variety so it is probably not hard for the city to track down the source of where these needles are coming from. If only the city would invest in more patrols in the park, particularly at night, maybe something could be done about this. Although, it is sad to see that many people have just thrown up their hands on this message board and resign themselves to the fact that current mayor has let this part of the city slide pretty far downhill.

Unfortunately Albnyc that variety is also the most sold anywhere so…not so easy to find who/where plus I think there is a needle exchange program or somewhere that gives them out free.

What probably needs to happen is that there need to be needle disposal bins in the areas where these are being found.
