As a homeowner and a City employee, I find it very disturbing that my block let alone my neighborhood is being rundown down by the minute. I and my neighbors try very hard to maintain our homes and to keep our block clean. With the recession and real estate/housing market in dispair, we tend to keep our homes beautiful. The vacant I had posted would be a great spot for a mural and/or make it into a garden or a lovely sitting place for my senior neighbors.
Its been over 691 days since I posted my complaint regarding the vacant lot on the 5800 block of Addison Street and still nothing has been done. It has made me realize that nothing will be done unless I live in a DIFFERENT neighborhood or a CERTAIN section of the City of Philadelphia. wow.
I agree. Can't imagine why there are so many apps to report problems when the problems just continue to go ignored. Just a flimsy way to shut people down and make them think the city cares, rather than actually caring enough to get things fixed.
