I apologize that is has taken me so long to respond to this report. The engineering department has inspected this intersection and determined that a stop sign is not warranted at this location. Because of this report and several additional reports, speed data has been collected on Main Divide Dr. The speed data indicated that the 85th percentile speed is within the acceptable threshold defined by the Traffic Calming Policy. The Traffic Calming Policy can be found here: https://www.wakeforestnc.gov/sites/default/files/uploads/engineering/traffic_calming_policy_update_2020.pdf. A summary of the study has been provided to the HOA. The engineering department has requested that the police department add Main Divide Dr. to their direct patrol spreadsheet and provide enforcement as time permits.
