Description

Across the street from us at 340 North Street, is a street parking spot that always has 2 cars trying to squeeze into it. It measures 29' from curb cut to curb cut. As I understand it, there needs to be 2' from the end of the car to the nearest curb cut. So, 2' from each side of this space from 29' equals 25'. Standard parking space design depth is 20'. There are constantly cars being towed because of the parking enforcement. I wasn't sure if parking enforcement makes recommendations for signage at certain locations? I do know that the tail end and nose end of cars are constantly edging into the driveway curb cuts on both ends of this spot, making it dangerous and difficult for people to see/pull out onto the streets safely. I recently saw a sign on North Willard saying something like.."this space for single car only" or something like that. Can we get one installed here as well?
