Arent their any city ordinances anymore? What is wrong with the department of inspections in this city. Most streets are filled with filth and garbage and yet the city does nothing. Many of the properties that are filled with litter are owned by absentee landlords, who could care less about the condition of their properties, they only want the money. Shouldn't they be made to inspect their properties and keep them up to livable standards. Also, as far as homeowners go, what is wrong with giving them fines. Let's say $50. for the first violation and $75. for any violations thereafter. That would clean up many of the trash in this city and at the same time, bring additional revenue to the city. If the mayor cannot afford to hire additional persons to do the inspections, I am sure, many private citizens would gladly volunteer to do the job. Trenton is filthy and we need to to all we can to keep it clean.
