We have a single 25 MPH sign on Meadow Wood Way, Clarksville. The street is about one mile long and speeding is a huge issue. There is a lot of pedestrian traffic, to include parents with young children and residents with dogs. There are no sidewalks or speed bumps and most residents want neither. However, speeding by school buses, delivery trucks, contractors, and residents is an on-going issue. Can we get additional 25 MPH signs installed?

As speeding is an enforcement issue, I encourage you and other residents to contact the Howard County Police to request enforcement - it would aid them if you can provide them with a typical time of day you notice speeding the most. An alternate option is to request the HCPD deploy a radar speed feedback sign; this device is temporarily installed on a rotating basis. Both requests can be made through the HCPD non-emergency number, (410) 313-2929 or email to hcpdtraffic@howardcountymd.gov.
