This is so true and wrost when the hospital traffic end their shift. That corner has always been a mess, at least now people are able to cross Grand especially the elders. Needed also turning arrows.

One of the issues at this junction is that turning traffic is held up by pedestrians who are crossing the road the cars are turning into (the pedestrians have a walk light).

In other places, this type of issue is dealt with by having three light changes.
1) Allow North-South traffic
2) Allow East-West traffic
3) Allow all pedestrians an no vehicles

Could Jersey City experiment with such a traffic sequence?
