It was generous to make a donation of additional Palm trees and plants. However, if the city cannot properly care for the area, they should not have accepted the gift. Since planting, or perhaps since the new mayor took office, the park and lovely Palm area have become neglected to a point becoming an eye sore. When and if is this area going to be complete. The sign says the project will be complete in May 2014. The sign should also be removed when complete.

The beach area had four volley ball courts. It now has six, thus dominating the open beach area. In addition unsightly red barriers where put up to stop the ball from going into the water. I understand beach volley ball has many supporters, but I was told the city did not erect these courts, a private individual did. I request that the city evaluate the situation. I have seen all six courts used only once in the last three months. The plastic barriers, regardless of what you conclude about the number of courts should be removed. They are not necessary to the game, they are unsightly, and with their wooden stakes are a safety issue for young children running on the beach.
