12/06/11 CITY MANAGER'S OFFICE,HOW SIMPLE COULD THIS BE ? 1. SOUTH INDEPENDENCE BLVD. HAS ONE AND ONLY ONE BIKE PATH - THIS IS NOT A " MULTIPLE " CHOICE BIKE PATH ISSUE ! 2. ONE DOES NOT NEED POLE NUMBERS , JUST LOOK FOR " POLES" THAT HAVE BRUSH / LIMBS AT POLE BASE THAT ARE EXTENDED ONTO THE BIKE PATH AND TRIM BACK THOSE LIMBS. 3. IF THAT'S DIFFICULT, GO TO ANY POLE ALONG ALONG THE BIKE PATH LOOK AT THE " POLE NUMBER" AND WRITE IT DOWN. NOW GO TO THE NEXT POLE AND LOOK AT THAT " POLE NUMBER". THIS WILL GIVE "LANDSCAPE MANAGEMENT " A CLUE FOR THE DIRECTION IN WHICH TO FIND POLES 245-2 , 245-3 & 245 -4 - HINT - THESE NUMBERS ARE ONE AFTER ANOTHER, THIS MAY MEAN THE POLES ARE NEXT TO EACH OTHER - AS IN A ROW. 12/08/11 emma, On this issue go to city managers office post dated 11/18/11 post reads " landscape management crews have trimmed the overhanging and blocking bushes and tree limbs". This is posted as a statement of fact. The elec.power poles are huge. The number plates on the poles are LARGE and very readable. If a work crew goes to worksite with a properly written work order they will match the pole number to the work order and accomplish the work as directed. The city uses city employees to accomplish this work. If private contractors had been hired to accomplish the task and they filed a false / incorrect statement they would be fired on the spot. If they made a mistake and cut the wrong brush the priviate contractor would not be paid and would most likely be paying damages. Mistakes can and will be made,however ,look at the orginial entry /post and my post of 12/06/11, can the required information be any simpler or clearer ? AENGUS - BLACKWATER
