Description
There is an older blue rusted Jeep parked on the street across from this address. It has been there for at least 3 years without being driven. I believe it belongs to the 2 story house it is parked in front of. I know that this has been reported before and the owner moved it (pushed?) a few feet to avoid having it towed. It is not driven and it has probably been parked longer, this is a conservative estimate. As this neighborhood is mostly on street parking, no driveways, this vehicle is a nuisance.

Thank you for submitting your concerns on the City of St. Petersburg's SEE CLICK FIX website regarding an abandoned vehicle, a rusted blue Jeep, parked in front of 115 18th Avenue SE. On December 9, 2014, Officer B. Wells responded to this located and observed the vehicle parked in the same fashion as you described. The vehicle was described by Officer Wells as having 2 front flat tires, a lot of debris underneath the vehicle, foliage growing from the tree line over the vehicle, and spider webs on all four tires. Contact with the owner, Ms. Stephanie Nelson Cain, who lives at 116 18th Avenue SE failed as the owner did not answer the door nor the telephone. Officer Wells left a 72 hour abandoned vehicle sticker on the vehicle, giving the owner notice that this vehicle was being identified as street storage and/or abandoned.
On December 12, 2014, Officer Wells responded back to this location and again, tried to make contact with the owner with no prevail; the vehicle was still parked in the same manner as before. Officer Wells proceeded with towing the vehicle. We hope that these actions satisfied your complaint. If you need further assistance, please feel free to contact Acting Sergeant L. Santiago at 727-892-5913. Thank you for bringing this concern to our attention and giving us an opportunity to resolve this issue.
Sincerely,
Luke C. Williams
