Motorists traveling east on 9th street are not "technically" turning, but if you are waiting to go westbound at the intersection you can't be sure eastward travelers won't be turning left directly in front of you as you try to proceed west from the stop sign. It would be helpful to remind drivers to signal right if they are going "straight" through the intersection. See Cleveland and Saint Paul avenue for a similar problem which already has a "Signal your turn" sign.
