I contacted the township about this 2 months ago and was told that it was a county project.
The county was waiting for the utility poles to be
removed before work could begin again.
I believe this is done so now my only guess is that they are waiting for spring to complete the work.

My wife was harrased by the police officers during the summer while this project was being worked on. I pass through here everyday and get aggravated as I drive over the numerous potholes that will soon ruin my car. Yes I could drive another way, but why should I? This project should have been done in September before the start of school!!!

Township, County... whatever. This is a completely disgusting example of a waste of tax payer money. Was the intersection busy? Yes, it was... but nothing that an alternating light could not have solved. Instead, they took away citizens property and wasted countless millions and it's still not done. I'm glad that this is a topic on here... my only fear is that no one other than the REAL taxpayers of Middletown are going to view this.

This is a disaster waiting to happen.... it's only a matter of time before someone gets hurt.

Long overdue improvement to this intersection...get it done already!!

As a former 53 year resident of North Middletown all I can say is that we have no one to blame but ourselves, because we keep voting the scoundrels back into office year after year.

I agree, however, this one you can't pin on Middletowns illustrious council, it is a County project. They probably did not get their Stimulus payment yet. The question is, can it be done before a year is up, what a disgrace for a little intersection.

I contacted each of the Freeholders via the County Website and politely ask for an explanation as to why this project was at a standstill. Does it surprise anyone that they never replied!!! . If they are not going to answer emails, then don't even have the option on the website. My bet is that the new Highlands- Sea Bright Bridge will be competed before this minor project and that is only about 12 -15 months away from being completed. I certainly will remember their no response when election time comes around again.

They started with the paving at least....but still, no warning for a detour or alternate routes. Poor management from start to finish!

There is also a ton of debris on the road. I could hear it shooting up under my car on my way home the other day, I thought I was going to pop a tire...or my muffler.

It's all been fixed, does anyone look?

Everyone of us looks at it that is why we have been commenting on it since the beginning of January when the project came to a halt. Yes it is now fixed finally and maybe all of our comments from the past couple of months have helped. Now they just need to get the lights going and the project should be completely done.
