It seems as though many Motorists view West Street as a good place to test their vehicles acceleration. I have written the village mayor about the need for increased sinage, patrols and other measures. The response has been a temporary mobile radar unit which was left on the street for 2 weeks with little to no effect on the dangerous speed exhibited on the street. The village speed limit is 30 MPH and needs to be enforced! It is only a matter of time before a pedestrian is injured or killed.
