Description

Dear Housing Unit,

I would like to stay anonymous as I am a student and am going to Sacred Heart University therefore reached out to Mr. Sanjeev K Mehra as he advertised for house for rent for students on Zillow. I lost both of my parents therefore I am Section 8. I liked the house and told him I receive Section 8 voucher and upon hearing this he immediately got angry and told me to leave the house. He also posted SECTION 8 IS NOT ACCEPTABLE on Zillow now. He is discriminating. Please use the link https://www.zillow.com/homedetails/36-Strand-St-Bridgeport-CT-06606/57256460_zpid/ to investigate and you can reach out to him at 3479708394. He is very rude and disrespectful person and does not understand he cannot discriminate against students based on the fact that they’re receiving section 8 funds. I lost both of my parents but appreciate State taking care of me but people like Sanjeev fail to understand such things. I am a Sophomore and very good student. Please have the State of CT take action against such people so they do not discriminate again. I told him he cannot advertise such language but he stated he doesn’t care as he owns the house and will rent to whoever he likes. I told him there is a nice way of saying such things. Please take action against this person as he is discriminating against section 8 individuals which should not be allowed in state of CT. Please ensure he learns his lesson so he doesn’t do such things again. Thank you.
