Description
This is possibly the worst highway junction in the state. It is an old cloverleaf design that was suitable in the 70's. It is useless with todays population and traffic speeds. During rush hour cars back up a quarter mile and there is dangerous lane changes happening. Someone is bound to get hurt and likely already have. There is not enough distance between the 215NB offramp onto 201 WB and the 215 SB onramp from 201 WB. Cars are trying to merge off and on within 1/8 of a mile...TERRIBLE!
Do something about it UDOT! Get with the 21st century!

I left pretty much the same comment !
The response I got was if drivers drive the speed limit it's not a hazard.
I believe this to be a head in the sand approach to an easy fix.
the speed limit is not the answer to all of the roadway issues
Poor construction and design are items needing attention immediately
You asked for input now do something positive !

Case in point
The Bangerter intersection on the south valley and the stop light on U 111 and old Bingham highway.
Both were fixed after a death.
And one was a little child.

Thank you for submitting your concern regarding the interchange of I-215 to SR-201. UDOT is aware of this problem and we agree with you that this is the interchange does need major improvement. In order to complete the work, this will require quite a bit of funds and we currently don't have the funding allocated for this location. However, we will continue to request funding for improvement on this interchange. Thank you.

They only way they are going to give this area priority is if we keep commenting on it giving it the attention it deserves, notifying our state representatives or someone possibly DIES.
