Description

Horribly broken sidewalk due to tree roots. Impassable for anyone handicapped or on a bike/skateboard. Located on west side of Jewell Ave, approx 5-6 houses south of the corner of Munson & Jewell.

A. sidewalk is so badly broken and cracked that it is impassable for anyone in a wheelchair, with a cane or walker or stroller.

Q. Which side of the road is it on, approx. ft & direction from address/intersection.
A. west side of Jewell Ave, 5 or 6 houses south of the intersection at Munson & Jewell

The maintenance of the sidewalk is the responsibility of the property owner. An inspector will visit the location and mark out areas with issues. Contact will try and be made with the property owner; if that does not happen, a letter will be sent to the property owner. Within the letter there is information about the City’s 50/50 sidewalk program that splits the cost. I am extending the ticket time out. This give time for the letter to be delivered and the property owner time to contact us about correction of the sidewalk issues.
