Thank you for reporting this to us! SPTO crews were out today, Thursday June 15th treating the invasive species Hydrilla out on the lake. It is a submerged aquatic plant that does not present any health hazards but does out-compete native submerged plants and thus requires these period treatments using an herbicide. The herbicides we use are non-hazardous to other marine and bird life in the lake.

We will be watching the effectiveness of the treatment and may need to do some smaller follow-up treatments as necessary. These treatments can take 3-10 days to see results depending on weather conditions so I will make sure to follow up with this See-Click-Fix on the effectiveness before closing this request.

Also is there any reason for the yellow bouy to still be there?? Demolition is over and could possibly disrupt natural flow / drainage and it’s ugly ;)

We have been tracking the effectiveness of the initial treatment and have scheduled a follow up treatment for the hydrilla over the next two weeks. Thank you again for using See-Click-Fix.

The SPTO customer service team has received an update that this issue has been addressed by the corresponding crew and treatment has been effective for clearing the Hydrilla bloom.
