Description
The new sidewalk is nice, but there's no way a gravel slope will survive next winter's plowing.
The street needs to be fixed to match the sidewalk height.

Thank you for bringing your thoughts on this issue to us. This repair is not being left like this permanently; it's a temporary patch until our asphalt contractor can get the work done. Being that it is a small quantity, and with a backlog of scheduled work, it will take time to have this completed. It will be addressed before the conclusion of the season.
In regards to the question on why asphalt was taken out; the asphalt was in bad shape and crumbled after the removal of concrete. It was not mandatory for us to do so, but we chose to cut it back to repair the asphalt we found. It certainly would have been easier to do our work and leave the asphalt in bad shape, but we prefer to leave conditions better than we find them. Logistics make it so the repairs are not immediate, but such is life operating in the construction industry.
Thanks for your patience.
