Description

The running water you hear is part of an underground drain installed nearby to take some of the groundwater that builds up from an old tributary to Maltby Cove and run it into the sewer so it doesn't pool along the edge of the road as it does in many areas down there and freeze. It's natural briny water from an underground source , ending up right where it did for thousands of years before people built houses down there.
