Description

There was a speed hump put in about 40 feet from the Stop sign at Malin and Barren Roads. Malin Road is a highly traveled secondary artery which acts as a border between Newtown and Radnor townships and extends into Broomall. It inconveniences law abiding citizens who follow the posted 25 MPH speed limit. I have witnessed vehicles drive over the hump going no more than 20 mph and damage was caused to the undersides of those vehicles. Heighten a police presence in the area and ticket speeders but don't inconvenience hard working tax payers with unwanted speed humps!

This speed bump is the best thing that happen on Malin Road.
It is needed to make cars slow down before approaching the steep hill at the intersection at Bryn Mawr Ave. There have been too many cars being rear ended on this hill by cars wiping around the curve. Who obeys the posted speed limits today & have a disregard for traffic lights (red light runners).

as much as I hate this gd speed bump folks do come down the hill fast and when the road is wet forget about it you are slidding right into the intersection

There is another posting about the problems at the Bryn Mawr Avenue/Malin Road light. I agree that traffic needs to be better controlled in this area. They need one of those signs that flash Red Light Ahead when the light is red.Radnor's highway department loves these speed bumps. Anyone with a low slung car WILL bottom out on the bump. I doubt anything that really helps will be done by the township.

I love speed bumps. Keeps ignorant DRIVERS HONEST. I wish they added one on my street ( Davis Ave )
