Months ago on the corner of Hwy 528 and Northern a tire business moved into this location and painted the entire building a bright neon green . The business failed and is now empty. This building is unsightly. The business also left many tires around the property. Rio Rancho should have in place codes and regulations that would prohibit such things like this to happen. The Rio Rancho officials continue to show failure in leadership. This building looks like it belongs in the run down area of Mexico City. This is unacceptable for this to continue to be in Rio Rancho. Get busy Rio Rancho officials and clean-up this city. The litter,dirt roads and this unsightly building are only a few of the many problems Rio Rancho has that the city officials continue to exhibit poor leadership in solving these problems.This is a poorly managed city. It is unfortunate that this city is the fastest growing city in New Mexico yet the most undesirable area to live in. I am disappointed in Rio Rancho.

The information you have provided in this post will be provided to the city’s Code Enforcement Division, which is part of the Police Department.

Based on this information, they will look into the matter and see if any city code violations are currently present.

If so, they will take action as called for by city code which includes issuing an order to resolve the matter and come into compliance with city codes. If the remedy does not take place within the allotted time given, a citation is issued and heard in Municipal Court.

I agree, I was shocked the city allowed them to paint the building that horrible green in the first place. But yet if you are having a garage sale they are right there to take down your signs.

On January 4, 2012, I made a complaint on the unsightly commercial building off of Hwy 528 and Northern Blvd. I have not heard from the city concerning this problem. It is easier to ignore this problem than to do something to resolve it. The city shows no interest or as any initiative to resolve issues that residents have. I am respectfully requesting the city to resolve this problem. This unsightly neon green building is totally unacceptable. It looks horrible !!! Get busy city officials. What kind of vision is this nonsense !!!

My comment was blocked by rejections . I wanted the public to know what I was told by the city representative concerning this neon pea-green painted building. I was told by a representative of the city that in certain areas of the city that no code was in place to prevent buildings being painted whatever color chosen regardless of what color or design . This is a poor vision for Rio Rancho. There are many nice homes in that area and it is unfortunate that this building is bringing the area down. It looks horrible!

This issue has not been fixed. The city lacks proper code restrictions to enforce that this nonsense not take place here in the City of Tunnel Vision. The city officials continue to show lack of concern and responsibility for a city that is suppose to be the fstest growing city in New Mexico. Get with it city officials ! Try to make this a desirable place to live in and a city to be proud of !!

No! This issue has not been resolved by the city of Rio Rancho. It is a very unpleasing building site to look at. It is a shame that nothing has been done about this property. Updated city codes need to be in place for a city that is supposedly the fastest growing city in New Mexico. We need leadership to represent the city of Rio Rancho.

This unsightly commercial building is finally being fixed up. This was not due to the city addressing the problem. It is because a sprinkler business has been fixing this building . It seems that painting is being done. Hopefully, the building will look better and this business can do well in this location and the area will be maintained. Throughout the city of Rio Rancho, many issues remain unresolved.

This has been resolved and this was not done with the help of the city of Rio Rancho. This was due to the new caring business owners that moved into the buiding. Hands up to JUST SPRINKLERS. Good job Just Sprinklers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
