Three way stop sign is urgently needed at the junction of 55th Avenue and Brann Street. Crossing 55th is incredibly dangerous, especially for the students attending the elementary school on Brann. Traffic along 55th is often speeding and doesn't notice the crossing pedestrians. And sometimes drivers don't want to stop and wait, instead they swerve out into the opposite lane, passing the cars stopped for the pedestrian, and endangering the crossing pedestrian.

Cars go so fast down this street. In the 6 months I have lived here I have seen 3 parked cars get side swiped as well as several near misses with parents crossing their children at the cross walk on the way to and from school. My guess is that the average speed on this residential street is 45mph, but should be 25.

Also, the current signage for school crossing is difficult to see. Maybe larger signage as well as indicator lights in the crosswalk would increase safety.

voted, I agree the signage is not noticeable. I think some crossing guards with huge stop signs and day glow vests would help until this issue is resolved
