I'm not sure what the problem is with fixing this street light. I know main water lines are being worked on in that area, but this has been out for a year. If there's a reason, it would be nice to know. Thank you

Crews have identified and located an underground fault- directly in front of home owners house, inline with water main, gas main, and underground fiberoptic/ communication lines.

This work will require hand trenching to expose UG lines and repair.

Why is this ticket being closed? The light is not fixed and it still presents a very dark area at the road that is dangerous for people walking that area.

Not sure what is happening with this, just know it is not repaired. If this work requires some form of trench, can't it be completed with the water line work currently being done rather than dig it up again? Heading into cold weather and darkness, hopefully it can be done soon. Thank you.

Well, the water line work looks complete so I guess digging a trench before it is complete is not an option. Last night I made the turn into Aspen Circle only to have a man and his poodle walking up the hill, and if it wasn't for the lighted dog collar, I would not have seen him. It is very dark and dangerous. Not sure what the problem is with getting this fixed. Maybe the city should have thought better of taking over the street lights.

Thank you for using this application to report an issue in the City of Albany. This location requires trenching and excavation to repair a broken underground line. National Grid will not allow an overhead tie in from the nearby cobra head streetlights.

A plan to trench, excavate, and repair the line and backfill to cause as little disruption as possible is being finalized. Thank you for your patience while this work is scheduled.
