Pick any light along Bridge st. They're all timed wrong and out of sync for rush hour. It's been that way for years now.
You can't get through to or from the bypass road in less than 3 cycles. You can't take a left from Bridge onto Washington in less than 3 cycles and now they've added the MBTA lot light that is backing traffic up to Washington st. The mayor really needs to get someone running the electrical department that can understand this equipment rather than just staring at all the cameras she's installed at every intersection.

The timing on this new light has been reviewed and will be adjusted again if necessary. We have also instructed the contractors working on the Probate and Family Court project to avoid scheduling large truck deliveries during peak travel times, as that has been contributing greatly to the congestion on Bridge Street over the last few months.

Reviewed? Really? Fixed would have been nice!

Nope, not fixed at all. 20 minutes from entrance of garage to Bridge Street last night AS USUAL. But it's been reviewed so I guess we're all just stuck.

When DPS paints the lines at Bridge and North st that light will work correctly because cars will trip the southbound sensor, then the backup at this light should be reduced because cars will have a place to go. The electrical dept should really just bypass this sensor since there's no street to cut left in front of the southbound lane, but there hasn't been much luck with that dept understanding this stuff. I'll settle for paint if it gets things moving.
What the city doesnt understand is, it's not just these two lights, it's three cycles at every intersection along Bridge st from the bypass rd to Flint st. and nobody is fixing the big picture. People aren't going to come to Salem socially, it's too much of a hassle.

The sensor on this light has been checked and it is functioning normally. It would be helpful to know at what times you are experiencing the back up coming out of the garage.

The train I'm on gets in between 6-6:05. The sensor only changes the light to allow 3-5 cars out at a turn! Then a long wait for it to allow the next 3-5 out. I understand Bridge St. is a major road but more cars need to go at each turn. Thank you.
