I think they're relocating that intersection entirely. If/when they do, new turn signals are sure to be part of it. I would like to see the left turn signal before then, though.

The proposal is to completely cut off Corley Mill from 378 there, put in a traffic circle at Corley Mill and Riverchase (the frontage to the Park-n-Ride), and route the traffic behind McDonalds and Taco bell. It would come out on 378 between Taco Bell and the new school/church on 378, not at Taco Bell. The traffic circle better be bigger than the ones they've put in recently in other locations, or the traffic will be no better. Also, the work needs to be done before the River Bluff school opens, but it likely won't. What a poor choice for the location of River Bluff.

YES, it is a POOR location for River Bluff High School too close to Rte. 378 and ponds in the area set to open in August of THIS year! The new school and church is the other campus of Northside Baptist Church with land bought about 15 years ago off Ginny Lane when all that was there was their baseball field and horse riding trials. Only 1 red brick ranch home was on Ginny Lane being taken about 2 years ago and followed by the end of the road is Lexington Pet Lodge. Northside has built a road off of Ginny Lane cutting through to Rte. 378 below that traffic disaster at Corley Mill. What a mess it must be on Ginny Lane with an elementary school and a middle school, many housing subdivisions, an apartment home complex, and these businesses! I loved it when it was so quiet and rarely a car coming through. It was a place to walk and ride bikes in the road so peaceful.

There is now a left turn arrow at this intersection. Unfortunately, they waited until two weeks before the school opened to start a 6+ week project to tear up this intersection, reconfigure it and repaved it, put in a turn arrow, and add another turn lane. Brilliant! If the government agencies had to compete to stay alive like private industry does, they’d be out of business in 6 months. Unreal.
