Description
PSE's project to directional-bore new gas lines in this area have left me with serious concerns about the City's oversight and permitting decisions.
1) There are buried septic effluent lines that have two road crossings which were unknown and unmarked until I spoke with the project manager. These are now marked and need to have some kind of permanent sign or marker on each side of the road for future reference. These road crossings only appear on certain plat maps (poorly referenced) and are somewhat unique to this area. Seattle/King County Public Health is aware of these. If these get damaged, it is unknown who would be responsible for their repair.
2) It has not been that long since an asphalt overlay was done on NE 1st Street. Now, with this project taking place, will we be left with pothole patches all along the road? I hope not.

I appreciate the responses from the Construction Inspector and City Engineer for these road issues (referring also to issue #15929718).
Additionally:
1) I would like to have some kind of response or plan given to the two road crossings of the septic effluent lines which need some kind of physical markers placed for future reference. This needs to be coordinated with King County Public Health. Only drainfield easements are shown on the maps I have discovered (see drawing 76-456).
2) Regarding the plan to mill and overlay a minimum of 50' in length: Considering the multiple areas that have been potholed, the open cut that was approved on NE 1st Street, and the damage that was done a couple of years ago at the hairpin turn on NE 1st Street by the City's snow plow, the "patches" that are described above are not enough. Another complete overlay should be done, including making sure that the bases (City right-of-ways) of our driveways do not become areas where water pools, as has happened the last time this was paved.
Thank you in advance for addressing these important issues.

"Please let us know if you have any questions by commenting on the request." OK, here you go:
I find it disconcerting that this request, along with numerous others made by myself and others get "closed" without any remedial action or an explaination other than "it has been referred to the proper officials." What is being done about these issues?
In this case, the newest paint markings on our road seem to indicate that only half of the road will be overlayed, potentially making worse the puddling that occurs already.
This See-Click-Fix website is useless and I am tempted to discuss these concerns with other City officials to find answers to these questions unless this website starts giving some real answers to these issues.
