Oakland City Council unanimously voted to approve the Encampment Management Policy. Under the new rules, homeless people won’t be allowed to set up camp within 150 feet of a middle school, preschool or child care center, or within 100 feet of high schools, or within 50 feet from homes, businesses, public PARKS and places of worship, or within 25 feet of a homeless shelter.

Let's get the Oakland city government to address the housing shortage and rampant homelessness they've created by cutting bureaucracy and allow more housing to be built.
Scapegoating the victims of their policies – homeless people – and trying to make their lives more difficult and unpleasant than they already are by reporting them here, is not the answer.
