This is so concerning and unacceptable, thank you for making this known.

That dark substance being dumped is probably a combination of used cooking oils, grease, burned carbon and industrial cleaning solutions. Not good. That water basin empties straight into the river. This substance should be ran through the sewer system and to a water treatment plant. It’s unfathomable that a business would pollute with such disregard. Newsworthy for sure.

Take a look at how much protective gear the individual in the photos is wearing. That must be some caustic, toxic stuff! Absolutely horrifying.

Where is CODE COMPLIANCE enforcement? Why hasn't this complaint been assigned to any agency nearly 24 hours after it was posted?

Maybe the software is broken and this category is not being assigned. Try another category and let them re-assign it.

Hopefully the fish in the Hudson River enjoy their Peppercorn Station menu items including Duck Blood Curd with Aorta and Spam with a side of TOXIC chemical pollutants and detergents. Seriously, Peppercorn Station should be renamed Pollution Station. Disgusting kitchen ventilation blowing out to the street all day and night, rat bait traps loaded with deadly bromethalin poison, trash bins left out all day and night. And now dumping pollutants down a CATCH BASIN. I think the neighborhood has been very fair, supportive and tolerant of this new establishment. On the other hand, Peppercorn Station continues to commit violation after violation, this latest one being among the most egregious I've ever seen in 30 years in JC. I agree with the others, I believe a HEFTY fine is in order. Maybe a revoked license to operate. Given their offenses, they don't deserve to operate a business.

You are absolutely right! I aways cross to the east side of Warren when I pass this place to avoid the disgusting kitchen exhaust that is polluting the neighborhood.

Thank you for the info Jared. Clearly the building owner (Toll Brothers) and their management company have been aware of the ongoing violations at Peppercorn Station, and still let it happen. What an atrocious combination of failures on all of their parts. It'll be interesting to see how the city handles this matter, which is clearly escalating by the minute. Maybe the management company will smarten up and boot their tenant, Peppercorn Station, for operating unlawfully and for creating an environmental hazard. In the meantime, maybe a good idea for everyone to boycott that place. Why support a company that pollutes on us, dumps their toxicity on us? It's disgusting. I suppose if one wants duck blood curd and aorta bad enough, they can grab a bird out of Morris Canal. Oh wait, that's illegal too.

Waggybutts Mobile Pet Grooming is another egregious offender, seen here dumping detergents into sewer basin on Bay Street. They can go wag their butts elsewhere. Another company to avoid. How does a business operator even contem such an act?
