Description
There is a stealthy deep dip in the pavement approximately here. It is at the inner edge of the bike lane. Some sort of plumbing fitting is recessed and the asphalt drops into it. It is nearly invisible until it is too late to avoid (if one doesn't already know) and dropping in to it is violent enough that sooner or later it will cause a crash and already is scary. This is a main route for MAHS with lots of cyclists.
Immediate fix: Please mark in some way. Preferably without hindering the flow in the lane. Paint would do.
Longer term, this should be corrected. Even though the surface of the asphalt is continuous, it is effectively a hole in the road.

This issue was and should be reported to Cal water since it is their utility box/property that is causing the issue of the small dip in the bike lane in the street.
I also called Cal Water and they will be sending someone to come and take a look at this issue on 3/18/2024. I also sent them an email regarding this situation at " infobg@calwater.com."
Any other concerns regarding this issue can be forwarded to them via that same email address.
